These are untouched photographs. I could not see the horses with my naked eye. What a delight when I downloaded the photo on my PC. Oh, (below) that is the mainline to London. Off to the penultimate day of the Olympics 2012 for some, I expect.

That's lovely. Nice surprise!
You´re very lucky to have this beautiful place so close of where you live. Great shot!
Too true, VDP. I go past this spot at least 3 times a week and it has been on my mental list to photograph.
Petrea - I used a point and shoot camera with no viewfinder. Every time I take a picture, it is a surprise. The glare on the screen makes it hard for me to see what I am getting. It has become part of the fun of this new hobby of mine.
I think I know what kind of camera you have! Yes, I love the surprises.
It is a Panasonic Lumix DMC FS35 and when the battery fails me I use my Samsung Galaxy Ace phone. It is really a point and 'hope' sort of exercise. And I continue to chop off the tops of these ancient buildings. Live and learn :).
To find not just any horse but a white one centered in the frame is really kind of incredible.
(I've had several Lumix's. I think they are just incredible cameras.)
To our friend from 'East of West LA' - I think incredibly lucky comes to mind. (I have admired the simplicity of your blog with extremely beautiful photographs. Lovely to read you endorse the Lumix. Cheers.)
How beautiful that this is just around the corner! It's great to know every place, regardless of circumstance, has hidden corners like this.
(I've a 5 year old Lumix lying around & you've just convinced me to try it again - my budget Canon images seem so dull and I find I need to play with colours all the time. I also lack a viewfinder & get those glare-y screen surprises :)
That is a wonderful photo. The surprises are definitely a big part of the fun. Will any of the para-Olympic events be held in Coventry?
Thanks Adele and Lulu.
Lulu - I am thinking about buying another camera with a viewfinder. Not sure what yet...but I am wondering if I will get the same buzz looking at the results on the PC as I do now. I picked the Lumix because it was the only reasonably priced digital camera with no plastic buttons on it. It also has a Leica lense which I think is a good feature. (I cannot believe I am talking cameras/lenses here. I am soooo an amateur...! and, a girl! ha ha) Let me know what you think when you try your older camera.
Adele - The Paralympic Games are just in London, I believe. But, you know something, if I get my act together I would love to go and see an event.
