Meet Mark, A Puppeteer

 'Godiva Awakes' Puppeteer
I don't take many photos of people - I am not sure of the protocol.   This chap stood out when I was watching the Godiva Awakes production.   It turns out he is one of the puppeteers that operate the 6 meter high Godiva.  I asked if I could photograph him.  He said, 'Yes'.  But this photo was taken before I asked.  I like it the best.

He is looking into the future! The portraits is probably the only reason I'm still doing the daily blog thing. You should to more, try asking everyone a few questions. Always interesting to read a few facts about people. Another tip is to take their email and send them a copy of the photos. That is always appreciated.

This is a fabulous portrait! I've not taken many people either and Stefan's advice sounds good. This guy could have walked straight out of a 1930s movie set! (I find myself inadvertantly saying 'tomato' the way the English do sometimes, despite being more permanently stateside now:)

He's going to be happy with this one. He looks very dashing. Nicely done.

I know what you mean, though. I'm shy about it, too.

Me three on the shy thing. What a lovely portrait, though. I feel inspired to be a wee bit more brave...

Thanks, Stefan, for your advice. We are all listening and I think you have encouraged us to have a go. Thank you!

You got it, Lulu. (...and, it used to hurt to say 'tomoto' and 'banana' as they do here...but I do it now with ease. I am drawing the line on 'garage'.)

Thanks, Petrea and Adele. I feel keen to have another go but doubt someone like this chap will be in my path any day soon.
