BBQ Gone Wrong

Coombe Country Park
Revisiting my favorite oak tree.

Dotted all around Coombe Country Park are wonderful
picnic tables, all of which are there as a memorial to family and friends.

On Sunday we decided to go over and see how
my favorite tree (above) is looking.  We were distracted.
How disappointing it was to see that someone
decided to put one of those disposable BBQs on the
table and burn a hole in it.

I hope this table can be repaired soon.
It is such a lovely spot in the park to be enjoyed by all.

It looks as though that was a deliberate act of vandalism.

Stupidity or thoughtlessness... very disappointing either way.

Looks kinda familiar. I visited a lake area over the weekend and I saw a few similar scenes there.

You've gotta wonder about some people! Disgusting! Thanks for your note and good wishes, and I'm glad that you're enjoying the book. Hope that all is well with you and your family!

The tree looks summer fab Lauren, the table not so much :) Hopefully can be repaired especially as it's a memorial table.

What ever happened to common sense? (I can hear my dad asking that question but, it seems to apply more and more.) The tree looks lovely. Hopefully the table can be fixed.

Lovely tree. At least the fire stopped there. Though what is wrong with folks to let this happen.

Some humans are real jerks, aren't they?
