Tree Fungi

Coombe Country Park

I am stepping out of my comfort zone even attempting to
identify what looks like to me a sort of tree fungi.
Can you tell me more?

In the photo above I am standing on a slight hill.
So glad I spotted that natural canopy for
a tree hollow.

Wish a squirrel was about to complete the photo :).

I have heard this referred to as bracket fungi but I'm sure someone out there knows the correct name.
