1962 Penny


Coventry Cathedral


Above is one of many 1962 pennies embedded in the floor
marking the processional routes used by the choir and clergy
at Coventry Cathedral (below).


The reasons the coins are dated 1962?
That is the year the New Cathedral was consecrated.
Many of the coins now look like the one below.

I remember sitting there for a service in 1982. Now my eye is drawn to the maple leaf.
