Today we jumped on a train and visited Birmingham's
new public library.
This is a view from inside the
library looking up. The glass on the right
surrounds an elevator that goes to a rooftop terrace.

Nice! I really, really like that first shot. Must visit the library. Happy weekend :0)
Good grief, that's some library! Can't imagine one of those being built here. The glass elevator I would probably avoid...are there steps to the roof with railings? :)
Love the composition of the first photo. Lovely library, very well shot!
Wow! Spectacular, Lauren!
Excellent pictures! That first shot is exciting!
They sure don't make libraries like they used to! What a modern place with wonderful views.
Hmmmm... Though I like the architecture I'm not too sure I like the way it looks next to the older building... The photo with the flowers is lovely though!
Interesting juxtaposition of the old and the new buildings!!! And I love that cool ceiling!!! I'd like to ride that elevator to the top!!!
Libraries deserve to reside in luxurious building such as this! I love the grounds as well.
You take some really nice shots from where you live.
Wonderful to see the new world emerging from the old
