Another City Daily Photo 'Squares' Theme Day shot not used last week.
I like the sign so here is a little about Coventry Univeristy.
I am standing just outside one of Coventry University's venues
known as Square One
located not far from Coventry Cathedral.
Walk through those doors and students have a choice
of bars, cinema and conference space
in a central location in Coventry City Centre.

It would have made a great theme photo, but it's just as interesting a few days afterwards, too!
Eye catching sign, I didn't really see the 1 properly until the more distant view.
Had a quick peek at their website. Wish such things existed when I went to university back in the mid 70s!!
Fun interpretation of Squares!!!
Love the contrast between the cathedral and the modern building. Like the square one design.
Quite a difference between the cathedral and the campus. The place looks quite peaceful, but I imagine when you've got a lot of students milling about, it's anything but.
I would not expect so many modern square opportunities in an old city like Coventry. Though I know it suffered a lot of destruction in the last war and has undergone a lot of renewal.
That graphic pleases my eye. Nice example of a modern building being a good neighbor with it's elders.

Interesting sign!
There is a big mall near Toronto called Square 1. But I think the name better fits a university setting!
nice to have it all located in 1 spot!
Great logo. Love the contrast in the middle shot.
I like the juxtaposition of old and new architecture here. Doesn't always work, but it looks good here.
That would have been another good entry for "squares".
Very interesting to see these excellent photos of the University so close to the Cathedral. Looks like a very pleasant place to learn. No 1 photo is very dramatic!
It is always interesting to read your thoughts. Thank you.
Sounds like the students are well catered for Lauren, always love to see the arch of the cathedral!
