Finished And Looking Good...

...Coventry's City Centre green space.
Formerly Trinity Street.  Now a open green space.
I am impressed.  I have sat on those benches and it is a great place to watch the world go by.  I will show you why on another day.

Trinity Street, March 23, 2012

(PS to Family & Friends - Can you spot anyone you know in the larger photograph above? :)

That was fast! I actually remembered it from your earlier photo. Beautiful colors in this. How do you do it? Mine always feel washed out. (I'm guessing I need to invest in a "real" camera one of these days!)

The Coventry City Centre is looking mighty fine! I also remember it from your previous post. I love the photo, I could sit there all day.

That is a LAWN!

Adele, try "saturation" or something like that in your photo software, see if it helps.

Adele...thank you! It is possible that because it was cloudy the colors showed up better. It is an untouched photo taken with a 'no frills' Panasonic camera. I do use Picasa editing for cropping (a lot) and it includes a nice 'I feel lucky' color fix editing button which I have used from time to time. (Needless to say, I bow to the expertise of Petrea and her advice.)

Lulu, I did go back today and sit while having a (the 's' word) coffee. :)

Amazing what they can do with a few rolls of grass, Petrea. The lines are gone but no doubt someone will get creative when they mow the lawn soon.

Thank you ladies! Winter is definitely a better time, with the cloud cover. I have been using the shadow feature to get more saturation, but have just tried both of your suggestions. Amazing!! I have noticed that my photos fade somewhat when they enter my blog. Have you found that as well? Either way, thank you again - I'm hoping for better displays here soon.

What program do you have, Adele? I have iPhoto, which isn't very sophisticated but does have some useful tools. Try messing around. Make a copy, don't mess around with the original. Try everything! I like to mess with contrast especially, also shadows and saturation.
