A Good News Day

What fun I had straightening  the newspapers at our local grocery store so I could take this picture.  Almost every paper featured the Olympic 2012 opening ceremony.  If you missed the ceremony, be sure to watch 'highlights'.  You won't be disappointed.  And, hope you have a 'good news' day too.  Cheers!

Loved the ceremonies! So many nice surprises. Which reminds me: If you see the Queen, ask her how she's feeling after her daring leap. :-)

I don't have the staying power to last the ceremony live, but have enjoyed the stills since.

My concern is that the good news of the opening, is now descending into whinging and whining from contestants and countries who had 'expectations'. Bit sad really ...

Seems like everyone in England is excited.

Ok, Adele! Next time the Queen calls around for 'tea and scones' I'll get the inside story on her outing with 007. (I really enjoyed that sequence.)

You know something, Petrea, there really is a sense of excitement. It is wonderful and a boost we can all do with.

You're right, Julie. That is why I wanted to rejoice in a 'good news' day and hope there will be more.

He's terribly cynical, sometimes downright mean. But even he is enjoying the athletes and their powers.

I had a great time watching the opening ceremonies (after it was posted online) & also some of the early Olympics action. The 007/Queen and Mr. Bean/Chariots of Fire were absolutely hilarious :)

So glad you enjoyed the London show. You must be having fun seeing some familiar sight too, Lulu.

I had a look at the Small Glass Planet. Glad there are some positive vibes...sprinkled in with some very nice photographs.
