Time Capsule

Friargate

Under the plaque is a sealed canister. The canister contains a collection of
2016 Coventry memorabilia. The plan is to open the 'time capsule' in 2066.

The building under construction (below) will house Coventry City Council offices.

Friargate is a £100 million regeneration project
between the Coventry Railway Station and the City Centre.
We are told there will be new office buildings, hotels, residential and leisure space.
And, I see, there is a 'time capsule' too :).

PS:  The plaque is in the middle of the walkway.
That couple have just walked by it.

Happy Birthday, Nadine xx

Does not quite seem that long, thought they might leave it longer

I've never seen one of those time capsules opened even though the town I grew up in had opened one in the 70s. I like that reflection on the building in the rear, reminds me of a big video screen.

I know it's done here as well, but I've never seen one opened either.

I think that's a cool idea...but won't be around to find out what's in there. :( Of course, the way things are going here, that's just as well! Aargh!!!!!!

We always read about these things but rarely about when they are opened. I don't plan to be here for the 2066 opening of this one.
