Diana, Princess of Wales & Althorp House

The Round Oval

Diana, Princess of Wales,
was buried on the 6th September, 1997
on the island in the center of the lake (below).

Below is a closer look at the memorial
that stands along side the lake.

Diana's island resting place (below).

Below is Althorp House, built in 1508.
Home to the Spencer family for five centuries.

We had a wonderful afternoon visiting Althorp House.
Like many, we wanted to see the memorial dedicated to
Diana, Princess of Wales.  Before walking to the lake
we enjoyed a tour of the house and gardens.

Althorp House is about l hour from Coventry in Northamptonshire.

Looks a very interesting house to visit. By coincidence I visited Diana's memorial in Kensington Palace gardens yesterday.

So sad that she has a memorial at all Lauren, she was far too young to pass in that way, but it really is a beautiful spot. My brother in law has just come back from four weeks in England, he visited and really enjoyed Coventry. Wish I'd known he had intended to go, I could have given him some tips from you 😊

Wonderful photos! I don't think I've ever seen photos of the actual tomb. I would have enjoyed that tour, I'm sure.
I'm headed to London in a little over a week. I'm getting excited.
