Roses In December

Coombe Country Park
Photos taken on 16th December, 2015

In the photo above you can see a stone wall
and memorial benches.  There are rose bushes against the wall also.

December was unseasonably warm.  To my delight
these pretty pink roses were still in bloom.
Made me smile when I saw the name:

How fun for me, an American,
to meet up with these lovely rambling roses
at Coombe Country Park.

That is some park. Absolutely gorgeous. Can't believe you've still got roses abloom!

Re your question on Ocala: The Citizen's Circle is an area actually behind City Hall which allows space for people to sit and relax and I understand that occasional ceremonial events and concerts are held there. It's a nice concept, I think.

What a beautiful place to enjoy and those "American" roses make it even more beautiful. It's hard to believe it was warm enough for them in December.

The flowers don't seem to know what season it is. This week has redressed the balance a little. What a find with a name like that.
