M Is For Monterey Cypress....

...to the left and 'my' tree to the right.

Yes, this is another photo taken at Coombe Country Park yesterday.  It amazes me that I have found trees here at Coombe that so remind me of my home State of California, USA.  There is a  mini forest of Redwood Trees as well as this Monterey Cypress on the left.  The Oak tree to the right is the tree I am photographing on a regular basis (from a different angle).

For more photos featuring the letter 'M', please follow the link to ABC Wednesday.

Just been out to photograph my next thatched roof house for tomorrow.  Have a good day!

I like the huge big trees you have here.

They are just fantastic!

One day I want to go for a nice walk around Trent Park again..... One of many nice places I have been to.

Great picture of the trees. I love the shape of the oak especially in Winter when there are no leaves to hide its branches.

I love this tree! I thought it looked a lot like the macrocarpa trees that grown here in New Zealand (which I love to photograph!) and, lo and behold, they are one in the same according to wikepedia!

Funny you should mention it - at first I thought you had been on a visit to Cali! Great photo of the trees!

beautiful trees..."your" tree is my favorite one though...isn't it nice when we get little reminders of "back home" :)

Thanks again for taking the time to leave a comment. I am glad you like this photo.

Stefan - I do too. First time I have seen it from this angle...area I was standing in has just been opened to public.

Gunn - I have always wanted to visit Trent Park...only about an hour from here, if that. On the list!

BettyL - That's right :). I have seen that picture. Nothing like ocean as a backdrop, right!

Tanya - Those reminders really lift my spirits, especially the chocolate ones :).

Cheers!

That's interesting to see a cypress and an oak-looking tree side by side, especially so far from California. This is a beautiful shot. Thanks for checking my M out.

Even though they're so different they make a great pair LOL

Thank again you three (JM, Linnea, Grace) for joining in. Soon that big oak will have leaves on it and I can't wait to see how that will look.
